Singing The Gospel

The Group

We were blessed back in 2016 to bring our personal love of gospel music and our study and training we received from the Charles Novell School of Music together to bring about our music ministry. It has been a great journey as we have experienced the gospel message in song bringing hope, joy, and salvation to many churches, fairs, restaurants, and senior living facilities. We have traveled across the country and been blessed to meet many new friends and other gospel artists. We have been privileged to study under top gospel artists such as The Blackwood Brothers, Nelons, Jeff Stice, Jim Sheldon and have shared the stage with The Kingsmen, The Joneses, and Steve Hess and Southern Salvation. We have recorded eight projects that include old standards, as well as newer songs of the message of the gospel.

My love for gospel music was grounded by being raised in a Christian home. We would watch the Gospel Jubilee on TV Sunday mornings before church. My first concert was the Inspirations and Hinsons. I have sung with a couple of local groups and now with my son. I am a retired meteorologist, so I no longer can get blamed for the weather. I thank the Lord for giving me a loving family and allowing me to share the greatest music in the world, the gospel.

Brandon

My love for gospel music started like my dads in the fact that I was raised in a Christian home. My parents would take me to concerts, and I began singing at church and restaurants around the area at a young age. Some of the first groups I remember hearing were the Dove Brothers and the Mckameys and I fell in love with southern gospel music. I would buy all the groups pictures to hang on my wall, I would wear the group’s t-shirts to concerts, and they would always remember me as their little buddy. I finished high school and set off for college in Indiana where I would attend Oakland City University. I have since graduated from there with a music and business degree and have gotten the pleasure to sing with the Gaither Vocal Band as being part of the OCU choir. I am very interested in the marketing side of business and want to also pursue singing for a full-time gospel artist down the road. I want to thank the Lord for the musical ability he has given me, and I want to share the message of hope and encouragement through my songs and my story.
